The Munich-based manufacturer of hydraulic components, HAWE Hydraulik SE, pursues its objective of providing customers with energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly machine tools already during a product's development. This brings down not only the costs over the machine's entire life cycle but also its energy uptake and thereby also CO2 emissions in the production process later on. Key components for a corresponding hydraulic solution are compact hydraulic power packs and zero-leakage directional seated valves.
HAWE Hydraulik's compact power packs combine high power density with a compact built and simultaneously offer comfortable installation options for the hydraulic components. The drive motor is submerged in oil, which provides better cooling and increases the utilizable electric performance. As a comparatively little motor is deployed, the dimensions of the power packs' housing and tank volume are also kept small, which translates into lower oil requirement. Last but not least, the compact construction offers the advantage that the power packs do not need a separate installation space but can be integrated directly on to the machine. All pressurized components are made of steel so that operating pressures of up to 700 bar are possible.
To ensure stable processing qualities machine tools should be free of changing sources of heat. For this reason alone the compact hydraulic system recommends itself as it swiftly reaches permanent operating temperature. In addition, it should be built for on/off process, as this is the only way to ensure that the pump works only if pressure and oil volume are required. Once the required clamping pressure has been reached HAWE Hydraulik's directional seated valves will reliably maintain that pressure, as these valves do not leak when closed. The pump switches itself off and consumes no electric power. Directional seated valves with 8-Watt solenoids save additional energy and furthermore simplify the integration of the hydraulic components' to the control technology.
At the Stuttgart AMB 2010 Trade Show, HAWE Hydraulik is presenting the compact hydraulic power pack type KA in its new size 4 as well as the CLK pressure control valve with safety valve function, plus a wide variety of additional products.
