HAWE Hydraulik SE, Munich, is expanding its business operations in North America. Effective as of April 1, 2013, the subsidiary, HAWE North America, Inc., Charlotte, North Carolina/USA, acquired the long-standing contract partner Pacific Fluid Systems, LLC, ("PFS") from Portland, Oregon/USA. The take-over follows the strategic decision to extend market shares in the USA and Canada. 

With Pacific Fluid Systems, HAWE Hydraulik is strengthening its presence along the US West Coast with a sales force and customer service. PFS is an ideal addition to HAWE's infrastructure as it brings in its own engineering, assembling, warehouse and test capabilities.

HAWE Hydraulik manufacturers top-quality hydraulic components and solutions. With a workforce of 2,100 the HAWE Group generated revenues of EUR 320 million in 2012. The company went to the USA in 1997 when it established HAWE North America in Charlotte. North America ranks as the third biggest market for HAWE Hydraulik, behind China and Germany.

Pacific Fluid Systems was founded by Stan Nelsen in 1977 and in future will operate as HAWE North America, Inc.
