Weather permitting the earthworks on HAWE's site at Mauerstettener Strasse in Kaufbeuren/Germany are set to begin next week. The site clearing and preparatory works have already been completed so that earthworks are scheduled to last until June 2012, followed by the erection of the carcass structure for the new plant of Munich's HAWE Hydraulik SE.
HAWE Hydraulik endeavors to keep dirt and construction-related soiling on the surrounding roads as low as possible and has undertaken to have the Mauerstettener Road regularly cleaned in the area around the site entrance. In addition, the company is in close contact with the municipal authorities of the city of Kaufbeuern, to put up a traffic light, in case traffic congestion should occur for those turning left from the Melchior-Elch-Strasse into the "Am Ring" Road.
Following the bidding for the earthworks the Dobler Company has been selected as project partner.
The plant will be erected on a land plot situated along the B 12 freeway. On a land area totaling 145,000 sqm, four factory halls will be built with a gross floor space of around 50,000 sqm. The halls will be completed and fitted step-by-step until the 2nd quarter of 2014. The investment volume in buildings and land plot comes to around EUR 100 million, with approximately 500 employees working there after completion of all four halls. Around 50 apprentices are scheduled to undergo their training in the new plant. In the event of increasing order intakes the number of work and training places could rise significantly.
