HAWE Hydraulik SE, Munich, not only has a booth at the first Kaufbeuren Learning Festival on May 19, 2012, it also supports the event as a sponsor.

The company has been producing hydraulic components in Kaufbeuren since July 2011. In the next few years, the company also has plans to build a new factory along the B12 highway that, when finished, will employ a workforce of 500. Wolfgang Sochor, head of Production at HAWE Hydraulik SE, explains why they sponsor the Kaufbeuren Learning Festival: “We enjoy getting involved in events such as the Kaufbeuren Learning Festival. After all, our company’s success largely depends on the qualification of our employees. We support our employees in lifelong learning, and we feel it is particularly important to support and promote the education of young people.”

The HAWE booth is easy to find in the schoolyard at Jörg-Lederer-Mittelschule. There, instructors and second-year trainees use a model they developed themselves to clearly explain what hydraulics is and how it works. Visitors are welcome to operate the model themselves. A prize competition encourages participants to explore what they have just learned in greater detail.
