Hanover Fair 2011: Optimum valve design saves energy

HAWE Hydraulik SE, Munich, has extended its product range of directional seared valves of type BVE with two additional construction sizes. These operate in both flow directions. The optimized valve design reduces flow resistance, thereby increasing the energy efficiency of the machine or system for which the valve is used.

Typical areas of application for the type BVE in the new sizes are for hydraulic clamping systems, jig and fixture construction, brake and winch controls and lifting devices. Type BVE is particularly suitable for the construction of customized valve blocks, since being a cartridge valve it can be installed quickly and easily.

In size 1, the valve is available as a 2/2 and 3/2-way valve for a volume flow up to max. 20 l/min at an operating pressure of up to max. 500 bar. Size 5 exists as a 2/2-way valve for a volume flow up to max. 300 l/min at an operating pressure of max. 400 bar.

For size 1, solenoids are available for all common supply voltages as well as for different connector variants (AMP, M12). The exchangeable coil guarantees simple replacement, for example if the solenoid voltage needs to be modified at a later time.

All pressurized components are made of steel. That enables the valves to withstand high pressures over a long period and enables a space saving design.
