HAWE Hydraulik expands its board of management

On August 1, 2009, Edin Rahic, 36, was appointed to the board of management at Munich-based HAWE Hydraulik SE. In this newly created position, he will be responsible for the Finance and Personnel divisions. The HAWE board of management now consists of four members in all, with the other three being: Karl Haeusgen (speaker of the board), Wolfgang Sochor (head of Production) and Martin Heusser (head of Construction and Development).

Prior to his transfer, Rahic worked at Bosch Rexroth from 2002 to 2009. Among some of his other tasks, he headed the Finance and Controlling Division at Bosch Rexroth B.V., located in Boxtel, the Netherlands. His primary responsibilities included the restructuring of the business administration segment as well as business processes and the technical aspects of consolidating several business areas using SAP. At Bosch Rexroth AG based in Lohr am Main, he served as the Assistant Director for Finance and Personnel.

From 1998 to 2002, Rahic worked at Andersen Consulting GmbH (now Accenture GmbH), located in Kronberg im Taunus. As a consultant for business process modeling and SAP in the areas of finance and controlling, he participated in the preparations for the production start of the Smart Car in Hambach, France; he was also actively involved in the implementation of SAP and double-entry accounting for the State of Hesse in Wiesbaden. In the past, he had helped the Polaroid Corp. to set up commercial accounting practices for the German market in the then newly built International Business Center based in Glasgow, Scotland.

With a master’s degree in business administration already in hand, Rahic went on to complete the Executive MBA program with a special focus on “General Management” at the University of St. Gallen in 2006. He began his professional career with an apprenticeship in commerce at Mövenpick Deutschland GmbH based in Stuttgart.

Edin Rahic will succeed Marcus Krogmann, who was head of the Finance and Controlling division at HAWE Hydraulik and left the company a few months ago.
