HAWE Hydraulik at the Hanover Fair 2011

HAWE Hydraulik SE, Munich, is again exhibiting at two booths at the Hanover Fair 2011. In the first booth, located in the “Motion, Drive, and Automation” flagship show, the company will be showcasing a selection of its hydraulic components and systems. This exhibit comprises compact power packs, standard pumps, valves and programmable logic valve controls, and also includes new products for different applications. HAWE Hydraulik will also be displaying hydraulic solutions designed specifically for wind-power plants at the “Wind” flagship show.

The theme of the company’s presentations at this year’s Hanover Fair is “Efficiency, flexibility, reliability, and technology”. This theme reflects the properties of this specialist hydraulics company’s products, which are efficient, flexible, reliable, and feature innovative technology. They thus contribute to sustainable applications at many levels, both through the resource-efficient use of oil and energy and by increasing the cost efficiency of machines and systems.

Compact power packs are a classic component of energy-efficient solutions. HAWE Hydraulik utilizes them in a variety of solutions, including the clamping function in machine tools, in combination with zero-leackage directional seated valves with eight-watt solenoids, and when optimally matching pump, assembly, and valves to machinery.

For applications in mobile hydraulics, HAWE Hydraulik will also be presenting the latest development of its proportional directional spool valve type PSL with CAN-BUS interface. This valve is the epitome of flexibility, because it allows a large number of individualized hydraulic functions to be implemented according to customers’ precise specifications. Retroactive modifications and expansions are also possible without high effort. For example, a forestry tractor can be converted into an all-season vehicle that can also be used for clearing snow or for mowing embankments.

The use of steel as the material for all pressurized components – together with rugged construction – are what give HAWE products their considerable strength and durability. For example, back in the 1960s HAWE Hydraulik used a radial piston pump for controlling a satellite antenna with a 64-meter diameter. Four decades later, the pump still ran as efficiently as it did at the beginning. The reliability of these products also makes them desirable for systems that are very expensive and time-consuming to maintain, like wind-power plants, solar trackers, and parabolic trough systems. The products are rugged enough to withstand the effects of all types of weather.

These products feature an innovative technology that combine hydraulics and electronics, such as the programmable logic valve controls of type PLVC and the aforementioned proportional directional spool valve with CAN-BUS interface. The compact power packs also employ highly developed technologies. They are suitable for high pressures up to 700 bar and are notable for their very low oil volumes and correspondingly reduced tank sizes. In addition, they only require a small space for installation.

At the Hanover Fair, HAWE Hydraulik hopes to persuade manufacturers of the benefits of sustainable solutions and applications.
