Hanover Fair 2011: Fast changeover between fixed and variable displacement pump

HAWE Hydraulik SE, Munich, has developed a new connection block for its proven proportional directional spool valve type PSL. It provides the user with a convenient setting capability that enables the hydraulic system to be supplied from a fixed or variable displacement pump. This is particularly attractive for applications where it is necessary to change over the oil supply, for example, agricultural tractors and municipal vehicles. Changeovers can be implemented easily via a 3/2-way valve integrated in the connection block.

Additional valve segments with small directional seated valves are available that simplify the hydraulic control: for instance, when activating closing, delivery, or interlocking functions. Seated valves from HAWE Hydraulik are zero-leackage when closed and so maintain pressure reliably. That guarantees that indexing and positioning cylinders are held securely in position.

All pressurized components are made of steel. Thanks to their compact dimensions, they require little installation space. The supplementary functions are designed for implementation at volume flows of up to 20 lpm and a maximum operating pressure of 315 bar.
